According to Public Citizen data, Ripple, Coinbase, and other cryptocurrency companies contributed $189 million to the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. Cryptocurrency companies accounted for 37% of the total $517 million in corporate political donations. Previously, during the 2024 U.S. presidential election, political donations from the cryptocurrency industry were approximately $160 million, and the cryptocurrency industry accelerated lobbying after the Trump administration took office, seeking to solidify the results of regulatory loosening.
