Tesla restricts employee AI usage expenses, and many tech companies in the U.S. tighten AI spending
According to a report by CCTV Finance, Tesla will start limiting employee spending on artificial intelligence tools from the 6th of this month. Similar measures have also been adopted by several other American tech companies.
It is reported that Tesla has issued an internal memo to employees announcing that starting from July 6, the spending limit for each employee on AI tools will be $200 per week, and any excess must be approved by a supervisor. However, spending by Tesla employees on the Grok model from xAI, owned by Musk, will not count towards the $200 limit.
It is understood that Grok has low acceptance among Tesla employees, with most still choosing to use Claude from Anthropic.
