Data: The founder of Bitminter's associated address recently transferred 829 BTC
According to on-chain analyst Emmett Gallic, Bitcoin addresses associated with Bitminter founder Geir Harald Hansen recently transferred 829 BTC, some of which had not moved for 8 years.
Hansen's Bitminter was one of the early mining pools, at its peak accounting for nearly 10% of the Bitcoin network's hash rate, having mined a total of 208,232 BTC.
