Amazon has completed its $50 billion investment in OpenAI ahead of schedule, currently holding about 5% of the shares

Amazon has completed its follow-up investment of $35 billion in OpenAI ahead of schedule, bringing the total investment to $50 billion (approximately 338.245 billion yuan), with a current stake of about 5%.

Although OpenAI has not met the two conditions of going public and achieving a technological breakthrough, Amazon still chose to fulfill its commitment early and made the final payment this week.

OpenAI renegotiated its contract with Microsoft in April, which was a key prerequisite for Amazon to agree to invest the full amount.
