International oil prices have significantly dropped due to the new round of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran

According to Gate market data, due to market expectations that the United States and Iran will soon hold a new round of negotiations, international crude oil futures prices significantly fell on August 2, Eastern Time. As of 7 PM Eastern Time on August 2, the price of light crude oil futures for September delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange dropped to a low of $74.78 per barrel, down $5.89 from the previous trading day's closing price, a decrease of 6.96%; the price of Brent crude oil futures for October delivery fell to a low of $81.55 per barrel, down $6.38 from the previous trading day's closing price, a decrease of 7.26%.

U.S. President Trump stated that the United States will negotiate with Iran the following day.
