HSG plans to raise at least $1.2 billion for its first dollar fund after the spin-off
According to informed sources, the investment institution HSG (formerly Sequoia China) is in preliminary discussions with investors to raise at least $1.2 billion for its first dollar fund after the spin-off, primarily investing in AI, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
HSG is also considering establishing a growth fund and a renminbi fund, with specific scale and timing yet to be determined. As of January 2025, HSG manages approximately $55 billion in assets and has invested in over 1,700 companies, of which at least 180 portfolio companies have gone public.
