OpenAI will launch its second venture fund and has completed fundraising of $400 million

According to The Wall Street Journal, documents disclosed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show that OpenAI is launching its second venture fund, having already raised $400 million, all of which comes from its own balance sheet.

Previously, OpenAI launched its first venture fund in 2021, raising $175 million, but at that time, OpenAI itself was not the only investor in its first fund, as it raised funds from external investors including Microsoft.
