BlackRock's BUIDL assets reach $2.8 billion, reclaiming the title of the largest tokenized U.S. Treasury product

2026-08-31 23:44:58

According to Bitcoin.com, the asset management company BlackRock's BUIDL fund has seen its asset size rebound to approximately $2.8 billion, surpassing Circle's USYC again, becoming the largest tokenized U.S. Treasury product. BUIDL accounts for about 18.5% of the $15.1 billion tokenized U.S. Treasury market.

BUIDL was launched in March 2024 and is managed by blockchain asset service company Securitize. It currently covers 8 blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Aptos, and BNB Chain. Each token aims for a net value of $1 and accumulates daily returns through a rebalancing mechanism.

BUIDL was surpassed by USYC in March 2026 and regained the top position at the end of August. Its underlying assets include cash, short-term U.S. Treasuries, and repurchase agreements. Moody's granted the fund a AAA-mf rating earlier this year.
