According to The Wall Street Journal, Matador Technologies announced that it has issued a total principal amount of $10.5 million in senior secured convertible bonds and currently holds approximately 168 bitcoins. The company funds its bitcoin treasury through common stock and secured convertible bonds.
This issuance is part of its $100 million secured convertible bond program, with a remaining $89.5 million available for withdrawal in batches upon meeting regulatory approvals and other conditions. The company's average monthly cash operating expenses are currently about CAD 125,000, and it plans to further reduce this to approximately CAD 100,000. The company's shareholders will vote on the establishment of a new class of preferred stock on October 14.
