Marathon Digital CEO: Blockchain is the perfect place to verify the authenticity of data and will closely integrate with AI
ChainCatcher news, Marathon Digital's CEO Fred Thiel stated in an interview with Decrypt that there will be a very close integration between blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Thiel emphasized that it is crucial to use technologies like the Bitcoin blockchain to verify the authenticity of data, as it is completely decentralized and cannot be controlled or manipulated by central authorities or governments.
He further pointed out that as AI tools become increasingly capable in driving company operations, such as supply chains, production lines, manufacturing, and process control systems, it is necessary to ensure that transactions conducted by these systems are properly recorded and verified.
Earlier this year, Marathon invested in Auradine, a startup focused on privacy-centric blockchain and AI. Thiel is also a board member of Auradine, which he described as a tech company focused on blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and edge computing.
Additionally, Thiel revealed that Marathon Digital recently partnered with digital asset infrastructure company Zero Two to establish a new mining facility in Abu Dhabi and plans to further expand into parts of Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
