Bitwise Chief Investment Officer: Wealth markets are raising their Bitcoin allocation to 3%
ChainCatcher news, Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated: "Since 2018, discussions with professional investors about Bitcoin have mostly centered around a 1% allocation, but now nearly every investor I've spoken to is discussing allocations of over 3%."
Hougan pointed out that the newly launched U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) is the main reason for this change, as it reduces the downside risk of Bitcoin. If the possibility of "going to zero" is no longer present, then allocations of 3% or 5% start to seem more reasonable. While true institutional investors (such as pensions, endowments, etc.) will still focus on allocations below 1%, allocations above 3% have become a new trend for the wealth market. Hougan also mentioned that since the ETF launched over two months ago, the total amount of funds flowing into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs has reached approximately $11.7 billion, indicating a long-term sustained demand that is expected to continue for years.
