Bloomberg reporters suggested that the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer sell over 60,000 bitcoins from reserves
ChainCatcher news, Bloomberg senior journalist Merryn Somerset Webb suggested that the UK's new Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, sell the country's 61,245 bitcoins to help "rebuild Britain," and pointed out that "as long as international criminals use bitcoin and are caught by the police, there may be more cryptocurrencies flowing into their hands."
Merryn Somerset Webb stated that the UK's new Chancellor has inherited one of the worst environments since World War II. Achieving the goal of "rebuilding Britain to allow every sector of the country to thrive better" requires a lot of money. However, there is a large amount of cash readily available, and it does not require raising taxes, which is the UK's bitcoin assets.
