Dialogue UXLINK CMO: Our breakthroughs, innovations, and challenges in 2024

Despite the ups and downs in the development of the Web3 social sector in 2024, projects like UXLINK and Farcaster continue to drive innovation in decentralized social platforms and infrastructure.
Founded in 2023, the Web3 social platform and infrastructure UXLINK has experienced rapid development in 2024. In its latest annual review, UXLINK has achieved impressive results in global expansion, user growth, and governance token ecosystem empowerment:
- In terms of innovation, it pioneered the industry's first Social Growth Layer, created the LinkToEarn social model within the Telegram ecosystem, and launched the first decentralized group mechanism, UX Group;
- In terms of growth, the number of registered users exceeded 40 million, with over 300 ecosystem partners and cumulative profits reaching 10 million dollars;
- The governance token $UXLINK has performed outstandingly, with significant increases in market capitalization, FDV, and trading volume since its launch. Currently, the daily trading volume exceeds 250 million dollars, ranking among the top 50 crypto assets (CMC data) and first in the Web3 social category.
Recently, ChainCatcher had a conversation with UXLINK's CMO Eric about breakthroughs, achievements, challenges, and plans for the new year in 2024. Just as a coin has two sides, the achievements of UXLINK come with multiple challenges faced by the team. However, Eric stated that regardless of how the market environment changes in 2024, UXLINK will focus on real user growth, "Any meaningful Dapp construction must serve end users. Web3 and Crypto cannot always play financial games; it needs to truly benefit the public for the industry to explode."
In addition, regarding plans for the new year, Eric revealed that to achieve the goal of 100 million users, UXLINK will continue to focus on Telegram in 2025 while also investing and growing on LINE. By continuously enhancing the Web3 user experience with innovative features like One Account One Gas to attract new users. In terms of user incentives, UXLINK will not only launch the second season of airdrops soon but will also have third and fourth seasons to fully ensure community interests.
UXLINK 2024 Keywords: Innovation and Breakthrough
ChainCatcher: I believe 2024 will be a crucial year for UXLINK, achieving good results in user growth, technology development, influence building, financing, and other dimensions. If you were to summarize UXLINK in 2024 with a few keywords, what would they be?
Eric: I think two keywords might summarize UXLINK's development in 2024—Innovation and Breakthrough.
"Innovation" represents UXLINK's spirit of creativity. We pioneered social networking in Web3, initially building products based on Telegram rather than relying on apps, websites, or Twitter. Additionally, we are the first Web3 social platform to enter LINE and the industry's first Layer focused on social growth—UXLINK Social Growth Layer.
"Breakthrough" represents the achievements UXLINK has made in business. In 2024, our registered user count exceeded 30 million, with over 2 million new users on LINE in just over a month, more than 300 ecosystem partners, and the price, trading volume, and trading activity of $UXLINK continually reaching new highs, along with its global ranking on CMC.
ChainCatcher: As of December 2024, UXLINK's global user count has surpassed 38 million. Can you summarize UXLINK's strategy for global market expansion and the achievements in different regions?
Eric: Regionally, we consider Japan and South Korea as our Home Market and focus on expanding users in Asia and Europe.
From a channel perspective, Telegram remains our base, and LINE will be our focus for the entire year of 2025. TikTok will also be an important marketing channel in the future.
Currently, user distribution is primarily in Asia, followed by Europe. In terms of numbers, the largest contributions come from several populous Southeast Asian countries, with South Korea contributing the most in terms of user engagement (such as Trade, Stake, etc.).
ChainCatcher: Speaking of expansion, could you share your experiences using the South Korean market as an example? Recently, UXLINK's token performance has been outstanding, which is also due to UXLINK's layout in regions like South Korea and Japan. How has UXLINK expanded its social presence to platforms like LINE and Kakao Talk? How has it established and operated local communities?
Eric: Recently, many friends have asked me how to approach the South Korean market, possibly because our performance on Upbit has been quite good. There aren't many tricks; it's about time, trust, and returns.
In terms of time, we have been operating in the South Korean market for over a year and a half. Early on, we noticed Korean users engaging with our product, and they were also "earning rewards." We established a Korean channel early on and have maintained long-term collaborations with several Korean airdrop communities.
From the perspective of trust, through long-term collaboration and the first season of airdrops, we have built a good reputation among Korean KOLs and users. They recognize UXLINK's narrative, and all Roadmap commitments have been fulfilled without change. As for returns, they are the inevitable result of the accumulation of time and trust. When I communicate with many Korean communities, they even say, "We love UXLINK." Indeed, early value judgments have received high market recognition—who wouldn't be happy about that?
The entire Asian market has its unique characteristics. South Korea has a high crypto penetration rate, and the offline presence remains strong. Recently, we have also been rhythmically placing some ground advertisements in Seoul and Busan. The South Korean market is like thick snow; we will continue to roll the snowball and strive to build UXLINK into South Korea's national cryptocurrency. Of course, there is still a long way to go.
Currently, we have launched the UXLINK MiniApp on LINE, primarily targeting the Japanese market, as LINE is not widely used in South Korea. Kakao Talk currently does not support product integration; we are mainly focusing on marketing efforts, which have been quite effective.
ChainCatcher: Many people who interact with your team mention that the UXLINK team has strong learning abilities and deep thinking about underlying logic (from a product perspective). In what specific areas do you think these evaluations manifest? What efforts have been made in team building in 2024?
Eric: That evaluation is too high; we believe that Web3 teams generally have strong learning abilities. If we talk about specific manifestations, it might be in the initial design of the product's underlying structure, where we prepared to take an open approach.
When we started Web3 social networking, it was never positioned solely for our own growth. Our protocol design, underlying architecture, etc., are all prepared to support other developers in the industry in the future. In other words, UXLINK planned from the beginning to build Web3 social infrastructure, not just a SocialFi project focused on user numbers and other data performance.
Moreover, the most significant change in 2024 is that the technical team has doubled in size. We are continuously enhancing the technical capabilities of our team, with our headquarters in Singapore and members distributed across more than a dozen countries, making our operations quite international.
Challenges and Achievements of UXLINK in 2024
ChainCatcher: What were the key challenges faced by the UXLINK team in 2024, and how did you overcome them?
Eric: The first challenge was the TGE, during which the market environment was not good. We withstood the pressure and launched, with significant community support. Many users chose to claim airdrops and immediately stake, and they have received substantial returns since then.
The second challenge was listing on Upbit. Korean users had been waiting for a long time, but we didn't know if or when we would be listed. However, it was the community's support that made it happen.
The third challenge was some significant fluctuations in the secondary market, but the team remained unaffected. We fully listened to the opinions of the community and partners, combined with industry developments, and firmly continued down the path of UXLINK's social infrastructure and Social Growth Layer, One Account & One Gas.
ChainCatcher: The success and development of the project are closely related to the current market trends and hotspots. What reflections and reviews do you have regarding UXLINK's operational and product rhythm in 2024?
Eric: We actually don't "chase trends." You see, we didn't catch the wave with AI Agents, MEME, or RWA. But we focus on a few key points: 1. Any Web3 project needs real users and real growth; 2. Any meaningful Dapp construction must serve end users; 3. The current Web3 experience cannot attract 1 billion Web3 users; 4. Web3 and Crypto cannot always play financial games; it needs to truly benefit the public for the industry to explode.
UXLINK is willing to support large-scale applications in Web3 through social means, just as Social Media supported the significant development of the industry in the Web2 era.
ChainCatcher: Please discuss UXLINK's efforts in building an ecosystem and its collaboration with other projects.
Eric: We have over 300 ecosystem partners, which is quite an achievement. The team has communicated with nearly 1,000 project parties. Currently, progress is good, and we are collaborating with partners on various levels, including social media growth, on-chain interactions, social protocol output, and joint development.
For example, our joint activity with Binance Wallet has achieved very good results. Through social growth methods, we utilized the UXLINK social protocol, bringing in hundreds of thousands of new users, 95% of whom came from users actively participating in Link To Earn.
Airdrop 2049 is a project incubated by the UXLINK community, which has attracted over 1 million participants in just a few months, drawing in more than 100 quality Web3 projects and airdropping tokens worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. The project has achieved real and rapid growth, with users participating in the co-construction of different projects and receiving rewards, perfectly illustrating the redefinition of production relationships in Web3. Its token has also been listed on Gate and Lbank exchanges.
Multiple Network fully adopts UXLINK's social infrastructure protocol and product model, establishing its own growth mechanism and ecosystem. It has achieved rapid growth within just two months of launch and plans to conduct a global TGE in the first quarter of 2025.
ChainCatcher: UXLINK is hailed as the "pioneer of Web3 social networking." What major technological innovations has the team made in products in 2024?
Eric: "Web3 social networking" is indeed an innovation brought to the industry by UXLINK. We believe that social networking based on trust is the primary form of real social interaction, and it has a natural network effect foundation, allowing for a smooth transition from one-to-one to many-to-many and group formats, making it easier to form a multidimensional social relationship network. UXLINK's core strategy is to build a social network based on familiar relationships. Initially relying on the Telegram ecosystem, we utilized scenarios and social economic models like Link To Earn and UX Group to convert social relationships into Web3 assets.
This year's technical focus is on developing the Social Growth Layer with partners, which will be the industry's first Layer or Chain focused on social growth. It will accelerate Web3 development by providing comprehensive growth tools (including chain abstraction, unified accounts, and rich data integration). One of its features is "One Account One Gas," meaning users only need one social account for seamless interactions without worrying about the blockchain or wallet being used.
How to Achieve the Goal of "100 Million Users"?
ChainCatcher: UXLINK officially stated in a blog that "2025 will be a great year for UXLINK." According to the roadmap, you plan to serve 100 million users in 2025, which is a very challenging number. What strategies will you adopt to further expand your user base to achieve this goal? How will you continuously incentivize users?
Eric: Currently, we have over 2 million users on LINE, and we will continue to invest and grow on LINE in 2025. Our user base on social media platforms like Telegram and Twitter is still growing. With a good Web3 experience like One Account One Gas, we will attract more users to make UXLINK their first stop and core usage scenario in the Web3 world, linking users and Dapps.
The incentive mechanism remains $UXLINK, and the incentive method is still community co-construction. Users who contribute to us will be allocated our tokens. We are currently preparing for the second season of airdrops, and there will be third and fourth seasons in 2025 to fully ensure community interests.
ChainCatcher: The witch studios in the crypto industry have become very industrialized. Does UXLINK have ongoing plans to combat witchcraft? How do you ensure the authenticity of user data?
Eric: We continuously combat witchcraft and are not afraid to offend anyone. We have our own set of mechanisms and also adopt good solutions from market partners. We implemented anti-witchcraft measures in the first season of airdrops, and we will do so in the second season as well. To be honest, if we didn't combat witchcraft, our user count might have already approached 100 million, as we directly blocked a large number of wallet addresses and various fake accounts that registered in our system.
ChainCatcher: The Social Growth Layer testnet and mainnet will be launched in 2025. Please detail UXLINK's plans for product and service expansion.
Eric: We plan to launch the UXLINK Social Growth Layer testnet in 2025. We are currently preparing for the testnet with several partners. The One Account, One Gas feature is already in the demo stage, and we will continue testing to accommodate more social accounts and chains. Since we are still in the testing phase, there isn't much information we can disclose, but we will gradually update the community and the public as testing progresses.
ChainCatcher: What new trends do you think will emerge in the Web3 social field in 2025? How will UXLINK adjust its positioning to adapt to these changes?
Eric: We believe that the social field can be divided into two categories: one is infrastructure, like UXLINK and Farcaster, and the other relies on user social relationships to build Dapps. In terms of trends, the combination of AI and social networking is worth looking forward to; groups within social networking are actually important scenarios that have yet to be explored in a good Web3 manner; and more interesting and meaningful applications will emerge through social networking, truly serving user needs, while users can also participate in co-construction and assetize social relationships.
