David Sacks talks again about Bitcoin reserves: the key is how to get the Treasury or Commerce Department to fund it

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, during a fireside chat at the Bitcoin 2025 conference, White House crypto czar David Sacks told the two co-founders of Gemini that while he "cannot promise anything," the U.S. government does have a way to purchase more Bitcoin. If the government can fund purchases in a "budget-neutral" manner without raising taxes or increasing the growing national debt, then the U.S. could buy more Bitcoin.
