SBI Holdings applies in Japan to launch ETF products for investing in XRP and Bitcoin
ChainCatcher news, according to BeInCrypto, Japan's financial services company SBI Holdings has submitted two cryptocurrency-related exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications to the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan.
The first fund is a crypto asset ETF that will directly invest in XRP and Bitcoin, providing investors with pure exposure to crypto assets. The second fund is a digital gold crypto ETF, combining gold-backed securities with digital currencies, where over 50% of the funds will be allocated to gold ETFs, aiming to balance the growth potential of crypto assets with the stability of gold.
If approved, these two ETFs are planned to be listed and traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. This move reflects SBI's long-term confidence in XRP and Bitcoin and may promote institutional adoption and regulatory recognition of crypto assets in Japan.
