Data: In July, institutions increased their holdings by 166,000 BTC, bringing the total holdings to 42.8 billion USD
According to ChainCatcher news reported by The Block, in July, institutional investors accumulated an additional 166,000 bitcoins, bringing the total holdings to 3.64 million (valued at $42.8 billion). Among them, publicly traded companies contributed approximately 107,000 bitcoins, with MicroStrategy leading the way by adding 31,400 bitcoins, increasing its total holdings to 628,700.
Surveys show that nearly half of institutional investors expect that 10% of the S&P 500 index component companies will allocate bitcoin assets. In addition to bitcoin, institutions are also increasing their holdings in cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and Solana, with Ethereum reserves exceeding $10 billion and Solana-related holdings reaching $554 million.
