Metaplanet's shareholder meeting today will vote on the previously announced $884 million fundraising plan

ChainCatcher news, according to Techinasia, Japanese listed company Metaplanet will hold a shareholders' meeting today in Tokyo to vote on the plan to "sell up to 550 million new shares overseas," which aims to raise approximately $884 million. The company plans to use 95% of the funds to purchase more Bitcoin.

Eric Trump, the son of U.S. President Trump and an advisor to Metaplanet since March, is expected to attend the event.
