According to official news, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued a joint statement announcing a roundtable to be held on September 29, 2025, from 1 PM to 5 PM (Eastern Time) to explore opportunities for regulatory coordination.
SEC Chairman Paul S. Atkins and CFTC Acting Chair Caroline D. Pham stated that both agencies will work closely together to provide clarity to the market and turn the unique regulatory structure of the U.S. into an advantage for market participants, investors, and the public.
The statement noted that the previous joint staff statement on spot cryptocurrency asset products was just the first step. The agencies will consider coordinating definitions of products and trading platforms, simplifying reporting and data standards, unifying capital and margin frameworks, and establishing a coordinated innovation exemption mechanism to better serve the public interest.
Binance HODLer airdrop launches Falcon Finance (FF), spot trading to start on September 29
Binance will conduct a Falcon Finance (FF) HODLer airdrop from September 14, 2025, 08:00 to September 17, 2025, 07:59. Users can obtain airdrop allocations by using BNB to subscribe to principal-protected earning products or on-chain earning products. According to Caixin, the shocking multi-billion Bitcoin money laundering case involving Qian Zhimin will be heard at the Southwark Crown Court in London on September 29, 2025.
The case involves issues of cross-border money laundering and cryptocurrency asset recovery and is seen as a milestone test for the regulation and governance of cross-border financial crimes in the digital currency era. Qian Zhimin (alias "Yadi Zhang" or "Hua Hua") is accused of illegally raising approximately 43 billion yuan through Tianjin Lantian Ge Rui Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. from 2014 to 2017 via Ponzi scheme-like "investment and financial management" products, affecting 130,000 victims. This case is not only one of the landmark events in China's illegal fundraising history but also the largest cryptocurrency money laundering case in British judicial history. Previously, it was reported that Qian Zhimin, the main suspect in the laundering of 60,000 Bitcoins, denied all criminal charges in the UK.
Ronin officials announced that its treasury (Ronin Treasury) will begin buying back RON tokens on the open market on September 29.

According to Decrypt, this week the UK Treasury released a draft proposal for amendments to current anti-money laundering regulations, imposing stricter requirements on cryptocurrency businesses.
The Financial Conduct Authority will implement a broader "fit and proper person" test for company controllers, replacing the current beneficial owner test to ensure that regulation can cover complex ownership structures. Other provisions will lower the threshold for notifying changes in control from 25% to 10%, meaning that any party acquiring 10% or more of the shares or having significant influence must notify the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
The UK Treasury is collecting feedback on the draft until September 30, after which the regulations will be finalized in early 2026 for parliamentary review.
FTX to initiate third round of creditor payments totaling $1.6 billion on September 30

Starknet: BTC staking feature to launch on mainnet on September 30
Starknet announced on the X platform that the BTC staking feature will launch on the mainnet on September 30. This upgrade will allow Bitcoin holders to stake on Starknet, helping to secure the network and earn rewards.
