U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducts a raid on a Bitcoin mine in Texas, arresting several Chinese employees

ChainCatcher News, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a raid on the Lonestar Dream Bitcoin mining site located in Pyote, Texas, on September 29, primarily targeting the ASIC repair center operated by Bitmain's affiliated company ADW Tech within the site.

The law enforcement action involved multiple government agencies, including ICE, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Eyewitnesses reported that law enforcement personnel used helicopters, snipers, and other equipment, and approximately 12 to 13 individuals were taken away during the raid, most of whom were Chinese citizens with expired visas.
