Forbes: Trump may be one of the largest Bitcoin investors in the U.S., holding approximately $870 million
ChainCatcher news, according to Forbes, U.S. President Trump currently indirectly holds approximately $870 million in Bitcoin, potentially placing him among the world's largest Bitcoin investors. The report indicates that Trump holds a significant amount of Bitcoin indirectly through his stake in Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).
TMTG operates the social platform Truth Social, which, despite generating less than $4 million in annual revenue, has a market capitalization of several billion dollars on Nasdaq. Earlier this year, TMTG raised $2.3 billion through debt and the sale of overvalued stock, and in July, it purchased approximately $2 billion in Bitcoin. Since then, Trump's ownership stake in the company has decreased from 52% to 41%. Since the company began its Bitcoin investments, the price of BTC has risen by about 6%, and it is estimated that the value of the Bitcoin corresponding to Trump's shares is approximately $870 million.
