According to Fox Business, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the government has begun to incorporate Bitcoin seized through law enforcement into its "strategic reserves," no longer routinely auctioning them off. Bessent indicated that the government will not purchase Bitcoin on the open market but will hold the seized assets for the long term.
