Analyst: Short-term Bitcoin holders have unrealized profits close to 15%, and some investors may choose to take profits

2026-08-30 10:14:54

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated that during the recent rise of Bitcoin to $80,000, the average unrealized profit margin for short-term holders (STH) is close to 15%. The estimated holding cost is currently around $70,100, and the profit level has reached the highest since July 2025. This range is often accompanied by significant profit growth, which also makes the holding mentality of short-term holders more unstable, and some investors may choose to take profits. Therefore, it is not surprising that Bitcoin is temporarily stagnating around $80,000.
