According to ChainCatcher news, citing informed sources from CoinDesk, the Indian cryptocurrency industry has established a new advocacy body called the Bharat Web 3 Association (BAW), which transitions from the earlier Blockchain and Crypto Assets Council (BACC) to a focus on Web3 branding. It is reported that the term Bharat represents the nation of India, and the main members of the new association include Polygon, Hike, Coin DCX, CoinSwitch Kuber, Zebpay, and WazirX.Informed sources stated that some registration and procedural formalities are still being processed. The goals of the association include raising awareness of Web3, promoting technology and innovation, supporting ecosystem partners, and engaging with regulators to communicate steps for consumer protection. In July of this year, the BACC was dissolved by its parent organization, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). (CoinDesk)
