Binance provides temporary transfers for employees in the UAE to address disruptions in operations in the region due to the Middle East conflict

According to CoinDesk, affected by the situation in the Middle East, Binance is offering its employees in the UAE the option to temporarily relocate to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.A Binance spokesperson stated, "In light of the recent regional tensions, we are providing our employees with the option for temporary relocation as a precautionary measure prioritizing employee welfare, to offer flexibility and support during uncertain times." The spokesperson also mentioned that many employees are currently choosing to stay in the UAE, and the company's operations in the UAE remain normal. It is reported that Binance has about 1,000 employees in the UAE, accounting for 20% of its global workforce, and the company's global operations are also supported from Abu Dhabi. This relocation proposal comes after the signing of a ceasefire agreement. The regional conflict, which lasted for about six weeks, has impacted business activities in the UAE. Since the outbreak of the conflict in late February, the UAE has intercepted hundreds of missiles and drones, with another interception occurring on April 8.The conflict in the Middle East has affected several cryptocurrency and major events in the UAE: the TOKEN2049 Dubai summit has been postponed to 2027, the TON Gateway has been canceled due to safety and travel concerns, the Middle East Energy Dubai Exhibition and the Dubai International Boat Show have been postponed, and the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia F1 events, which have sponsorship exposure value for the crypto industry, are also facing cancellation.

He Yifa wrote a long article listing Xu Mingxing's "six sins," accusing him of deliberately manipulating public opinion to suppress Binance

Binance co-founder He Yi (@heyibinance) published a lengthy article on the X platform on April 10, directly responding to a series of accusations made by OKX founder Xu Mingxing (@star_okx) against CZ and Binance. He Yi refuted each point in the article, stating that Xu deliberately blamed Binance for the market crash on March 11, defined the BNB chain meme as market manipulation by Binance, hired online trolls to suppress competitors, and engaged in "six tactics" such as creating controversies to drive traffic to himself. He bluntly stated, "You know too well how to attack a professional woman," emphasizing that his position is earned through independent effort and is unrelated to anyone else.At the end of the article, He Yi also responded strongly to personal attacks against him, stating, "You know too well how to attack a professional woman, just by stigmatizing 'she is where she is today because of a man,' deliberately creating scandalous rumors, and belittling me as 'a trophy'," and emphasized, "My identity is not given by anyone; I built my own empire. I came, I saw, I conquered; this applies to both my career and my relationships."Previously, CZ (@cz_binance) had posted about Xu Mingxing's public $1 billion bet, demanding that he "apologize like a man." Xu Mingxing responded by stating that CZ's public initiation of a huge bet contradicts the professional ethics expected of executives at regulated exchanges. The debate between the two parties is still ongoing.

Binance participates in a joint operation with the UK's NCA to combat crypto authorization phishing scams

Binance announced its participation in the international law enforcement operation "Operation Atlantic," led by the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA), in collaboration with multiple countries' law enforcement agencies to combat cryptocurrency and investment fraud, focusing on "approval phishing" scams. The operation was jointly initiated by the NCA, the U.S. Secret Service, and relevant law enforcement and regulatory agencies in Ontario, Canada, aiming to identify victims who have been compromised or are at risk. Approval phishing typically disguises itself as an investment opportunity, luring users into granting wallet access permissions, thereby transferring assets. During the operation, Binance's special investigation team provided on-site support in London, including fraud identification processes, risk screening, and intelligence analysis, and assisted in identifying potential victims and related malicious websites. At the same time, Binance also provided law enforcement agencies with addresses and suspect intelligence related to the case, supporting asset tracking and enforcement actions. The NCA stated that this operation has successfully protected thousands of potential victims in the UK and overseas. Binance emphasized that it will continue to cooperate with global law enforcement agencies to strengthen the fight against cryptocurrency fraud.
