first_img Grayscale Research Director: Generation Z starts investing at an average age of 19

Grayscale Research Director Zach Pandl published an article on September 28, 2026, in the company's column The Stack. The article states that among American investors, Generation Z starts investing at an average age of 19, Millennials at 25, Generation X at 32, and Baby Boomers at 35. Based on a retirement age of 65, Generation Z has an investment horizon of 46 years, which is over 50% longer than the 30-year horizon when Baby Boomers started investing.Zach Pandl: Starting to invest earlier not only benefits from compound interest but also expands the capacity to take on risk. When young, labor capital accounts for a larger proportion of wealth, and a longer horizon means more time to recover from fluctuations, as well as more future income available for continued saving and investing, thereby expanding the lifetime risk budget. He believes that the returns on digital assets are both volatile and potentially asymmetric, making them more suitable for longer and more flexible horizons.Zach Pandl also mentioned that for early investors, the cost of recent volatility may be less than the opportunity cost of missing out on long-term upside. With decades available for rebalancing, adding funds, and compounding across cycles, early starters may allocate a higher proportion to digital assets while keeping their lifetime risk balanced. Starting to invest earlier gives investors more time to absorb fluctuations, potentially enhancing the utility of digital assets in long-term portfolios.

first_img Tesla delivered 486,500 vehicles in the third quarter, exceeding market expectations

According to a report by Financial Associated Press, Tesla's official website released data on October 2, showing that third-quarter deliveries reached 486,532 vehicles, exceeding analysts' average expectation of 463,761 vehicles; during the same period, production was 464,391 vehicles, and energy products deployed amounted to 13.7 gigawatt-hours. This delivery volume is lower than the 497,099 vehicles delivered in the same period last year, which was a record at the time, primarily because American consumers concentrated their purchases before the federal electric vehicle purchase incentives were canceled.Deliveries of Model 3 and Model Y in the third quarter totaled 478,237 vehicles, accounting for approximately 98.3% of the total deliveries for the quarter. Financial Associated Press reported that Tesla has ceased production of the higher-priced Model S and Model X, leaving only Model Y, Model 3, and Cybertruck available for consumer sales, and mentioned the revamped Roadster, which has begun production of a version without a steering wheel and pedals, as well as the sale of the Semi all-electric heavy truck.StoneX analyst Mickey Legg stated that the deliveries were better than expected, which could provide upside potential for automotive business forecasts, but there are still questions regarding the energy business. Financial Associated Press noted that Musk is pushing the company to shift towards artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and humanoid robots, with plans to invest over $25 billion this year to expand factories and establish a Robotaxi business. Regulatory documents this week showed that the company has secured $30 billion in new loans and credit lines. Tesla's stock price rose nearly 6% during the day.

Pons Founder: The PONS new repurchase mechanism will distribute funds every 7 days and complete the repurchase and destruction in the following 7 days

The founder of Pons, Ozzy, posted on platform X in response to community concerns about the PONS buyback and burn mechanism, stating that the current burn rate has indeed not been adjusted, and the "Claim" process has not yet achieved complete decentralization. He mentioned that an on-chain contract upgrade is currently underway, with a new buyback mechanism planned to execute a Claim every 7 days. Subsequently, all funds received in the following 7 days will be used for buyback and destruction of PONS, and this process will repeat to establish a more sustainable buyback and burn mechanism. Currently, all buyback and burn operations have been automated. Anyone can trigger this bot and receive a small reward for this action. He further stated that the previously set buyback and burn rate is 2e per hour. Combined with the current funding scale of approximately 950,000 USD in the Splitter (fund diversion contract), this rate aligns with the 7-day buyback cycle. Funds will also be automatically executed according to the 7-day cycle after being claimed, so the buyback funds will be displayed in two different sections: one is the current active buyback fund pool (Active Buyback Vault), and the other is reserved for the buyback funds for the next week.Previously, crypto analyst yyy posted on platform X stating that Pons has not replenished funds to the buyback allocator for over 5 days, with approximately 440,000 USD in the escrow account awaiting claim. He believes that the untimely claiming of funds has led to a low burn rate of PONS recently and calls for promoting the decentralization of fund claims from the escrow account.
