Donut completed a $22 million financing in 6 months and launched the world's first AI Agentic browser for traders

The only AI Agentic browser in the crypto space, Donut Browser, developed by Donut Labs, announced today that it has successfully completed two rounds of financing—pre-seed and seed—within just six months of its establishment, raising a total of $22 million to create the only AI browser specifically designed for trading.

The two rounds of financing involved institutions such as Sequoia China, BITKRAFT, Makers Fund, Sky9 Capital, MPCi, Altos Ventures, and Hack VC, and attracted individual investments from industry leaders in ecosystems like Solana, Sui, and Monad, as well as team members from Jupiter, Drift, DeFi App, and Manifold Trading. Its investor lineup has previously invested in projects like Manus, Fellou, Genspark, Sahara, Sui, and 0G.

The core team members of Donut have been deeply involved in the AI field for many years before entering the crypto industry. After achieving over 160,000 people on the waiting list in the first quarter of the company's establishment, the team raised $22 million to drive product and ecosystem development. The funding will be used to develop the first commercially viable smart browser.

On the technical side, Donut has built an underlying architecture that integrates multi-model scheduling, planning and execution systems, real-time feedback loops, on-chain verification prompt benchmarking, and an API-first data and audit stack. Its product matrix includes a Chrome extension, a web application, a mobile app, and a complete browser based on Chromium.

In the past two years, decentralized finance (DeFi) has seen a renewed acceleration: the number of DeFi applications has surged, and the daily volume of on-chain spot trading has exceeded $20 billion. In the derivatives sector, the monthly trading volume of on-chain perpetual contracts first surpassed $1 trillion in September 2025, growing about threefold since the beginning of the year, marking an acceleration of trading activities migrating to DeFi and on-chain. However, the industry still faces structural risks: the quality of information is uneven, professional market makers continue to profit from retail flows, and ad-hoc trading plans weaken individual returns.
