SenseTime Group announces plans to raise HKD 2.5 billion, with 20% allocated for exploration in blockchain, RWA, and other fields
SenseTime Technology announced that the company will place 1.667 billion subscription shares after the trading session on July 23 (Hong Kong Stock Exchange), with an expected total placement amount of approximately HKD 2.5 billion. After deducting placement agent fees and other related expenses, the net proceeds from the placement are expected to be approximately HKD 2.498 billion. The subscriber is Infini Capital, an international long-term capital firm.

The company plans to allocate 20% of the net proceeds from the placement to explore the technological integration and practice of artificial intelligence in innovative vertical fields, including but not limited to developing embodied intelligent robots, blockchain, real-world assets (RWA), digital assets, stablecoins, and obtaining relevant qualifications, as well as for general working capital.

Ghana to issue licenses to cryptocurrency companies

According to Jinshi Data citing Bloomberg, Ghana plans to issue licenses to cryptocurrency platforms as authorities aim to regulate this asset class used by millions in the West African country while generating revenue.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana stated that the central bank is finalizing a regulatory framework, which is planned to be submitted to parliament for review in September. The proposed law will enable the country to fully leverage cryptocurrency, promote cross-border trade, attract strategic investments, and collect financial data.

Binance Alpha: Aspecta (ASP) first phase airdrop eligibility threshold is 225 Alpha points

According to the official announcement, trading for Aspecta (ASP) will begin on July 24, 2025, at 18:00 (UTC+8).

Eligible users can claim an airdrop of 125 ASP tokens using Binance Alpha points on the Alpha event page within 24 hours after trading begins.

The Binance Alpha airdrop will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1 (first 18 hours): Users with at least 225 Binance Alpha Points can claim the airdrop.

Phase 2 (last 6 hours): Users holding at least 200 Binance Alpha Points can participate in the airdrop on a first-come, first-served basis. If rewards are not fully distributed, the points threshold will automatically decrease by 10 points every hour.

Please note that claiming the airdrop will consume 15 Binance Alpha points. Users must confirm their claim on the Alpha event page within 24 hours; otherwise, it will be considered a waiver of the claim.

Binance Alpha will launch DePHY Network (PHY) on July 26

According to the official announcement, Binance Alpha will launch DePHY Network (PHY) on July 26. Eligible users can go to the Alpha event page to claim the airdrop using Binance Alpha points after Alpha trading opens. Further details will be announced separately.

According to a press release, FTX announced that for the approved five categories of customer equity claims and six categories of general unsecured claims (as defined in the plan), as well as the convenience claims that have been approved but not yet allocated since the previous record date, the next distribution registration date is expected to be August 15, 2025, and the next distribution is expected to begin around September 30, 2025. The next distribution will be conducted by FTX's distribution service providers BitGo, Kraken, and Payoneer.

FTX also announced that it has been authorized by the bankruptcy court to reduce the disputed claims reserve by USD 1.9 billion, from USD 6.5 billion to USD 4.3 billion, and the released cash will be allocated to the allowed claim holders in the next distribution.
