Ramp: OpenAI and Anthropic derive 80% of their corporate revenue from 1% of clients

2026-09-03 08:46:36

Ramp's data head Ara Kharazian posted that Ramp's latest data shows that AI company revenues are highly dependent on a small number of clients, with 80% of OpenAI and Anthropic's corporate revenue coming from 1% of clients, and this situation has not improved.

Kharazian stated that this level of concentration risk is not seen in any other software category he tracks, with the top 1% of client companies heavily skewed towards the technology sector and AI products and services, especially as OpenAI and Anthropic approach their IPOs.
