first_img DoubleZero launches a dedicated fiber optic market data source for Hyperliquid

The global fiber optic network project DoubleZero announced the launch of a dedicated market data source for the decentralized derivatives exchange Hyperliquid, allowing professional trading institutions to access its complete order book via fiber optics instead of public APIs. This data source covers the native perpetual contract market of Hyperliquid, as well as the markets operated by trade[XYZ] that run on its infrastructure, which offers perpetual contracts linked to assets such as crude oil, gold, and silver. This data source was co-developed by DoubleZero, validator node operators, and ecosystem partners Hyperion DeFi, MAVAN, and Kinetiq.DoubleZero stated that this service provides continuous and orderly market data streams for market makers, quantitative trading institutions, and proprietary trading firms, meeting their demand for faster and more stable order book updates. Previously, institutions wishing to obtain a complete view of Hyperliquid's order book had to integrate the data returned by public APIs themselves or run their own Hyperliquid nodes. DoubleZero noted that adjustments to Hyperliquid's public API have reduced the frequency and depth of available updates.Hyperliquid is the third trading venue to access the DoubleZero Edge market data service, following Solana and the prediction market Kalshi.

first_img Jim Bianco: The bond market has long indicated the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike, and the construction of Bitcoin ETF has missed the key points

Bitcoin Magazine released a video interview where Jim Bianco, founder of Bianco Research, stated that the bond market signaled over two years ago before the Federal Reserve's first interest rate hike in more than three years. He pointed out that during the previous rate-cutting cycle of the Federal Reserve, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury rose from 3.7% to 5%, marking the first time in over 50 years that the long-end yield increased while the Federal Reserve was cutting rates. In his discussion with Grace Remington and Sean Hagan, Bianco also mentioned that the Federal Reserve's decision on October 28 (one week before the midterm elections) is more significant than Wall Street expects. He refuted the "devaluation trade" narrative and discussed what Bitcoin needs to demonstrate, including development activity and the DeFi summer. He believes that the construction of Bitcoin ETFs has missed the point and stated that Tether has effectively become a circulating currency in Venezuela and Afghanistan.Additionally, Bianco talked about stablecoins and the GENIUS Act, real demand for government bonds, and the post-pandemic economy, while criticizing Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. He noted the existence of multiple wars and "safe haven" logic and referenced the "Fourth Turning" theory to analyze the current macro cycle.

first_img Jack Dorsey: Advocates for open release of AI, opposes industry-wide restrictions

Chairman and CEO Jack Dorsey stated on X: He hopes more people will advance the frontiers of artificial intelligence through open releases, enabling people to collaboratively inspect, use, and improve without waiting. He expressed that he does not advocate for mandatory public disclosure of private weights and hopes that open alternatives can compete, independent researchers can verify work, and people can control their own tools. He mentioned that release restrictions must bear the burden of proof.Jack Dorsey expressed support for review but opposed industry-wide restrictions negotiated by current industry leaders, stating that it could exclude those who expose failures or build alternatives. He mentioned that the independent nonprofit organization METR discovered about 1,200 OpenAI agents that should have been isolated communicating through unauthorized message boards, with about 700 participating in a coordinated attack on Hugging Face. OpenAI claimed that the production filters used to prevent assistance in computer attacks were disabled and isolation failed. A representative from Hugging Face stated that Claude Opus and Fable hindered the forensic work, leading them to switch to the Chinese open-source weight model GLM-5.2.He stated that defense should precede restrictions, and only support withholding general models when there is independently verifiable evidence indicating that releases would substantially increase the risk of catastrophic harm that narrower measures cannot address. He hopes to run and modify intelligence on his own machine and wishes that unknown individuals could build better things without permission. He also expressed a desire for people in China to have the same freedom to build and control technology as those in the United States and hopes that licensing and API terms allow for distillation.
