Data: In September, the total financing amount in the cryptocurrency market was approximately 1.114 billion USD, a month-on-month increase of 85.0%

According to financing data statistics from RootData, there were a total of 47 financing events disclosed in the crypto primary market in September, of which 34 disclosed amounts that can be accurately counted, with a total financing amount of approximately $1.114 billion. This represents an 85.0% increase compared to about $602 million in August, and a 9.0% increase compared to about $1.022 billion in September 2025; the number of financing events decreased by 4.1% compared to 49 in August, and decreased by 25.4% compared to 63 in the same period last year.From the perspective of sectors, infrastructure had the most financing events in September, with a total of 14 financings completed, disclosing an amount of approximately $263 million; both CeFi and DeFi completed 11 financings, disclosing amounts of approximately $394 million and $369 million, respectively. The three major sectors of CeFi, DeFi, and infrastructure accounted for about 92.0% of the disclosed financing amount this month.The three highest financing amounts in September were Polymarket ($300 million), Félix ($200 million), and Jeeves ($110 million), totaling $610 million, which accounted for about 54.8% of the total financing amount this month; Kraken also received a $100 million investment from Nasdaq. The financing amount this month showed a significant rebound, mainly driven by a few large financings, while the overall number of financing events in the market did not increase correspondingly.In September, a total of 8 RWA-related financing events were disclosed, of which 6 disclosed specific amounts, totaling approximately $52.75 million, accounting for about 17.0% and 4.7% of the number of financing events and total financing amount this month, respectively. Compared to 2 events and $14 million in August, the number of events increased by 300%, and the financing amount increased by approximately 276.8%. The top three projects by amount were OpenReserve ($25 million), Tare ($13.25 million), and CatchBack ($8 million), which together accounted for approximately 87.7% of the disclosed amount in the RWA sector.Additionally, 11 merger and acquisition events were disclosed in September, an increase of 57.1% compared to 7 in August, and a decrease of 42.1% compared to 19 in the same period last year. Among them, the tools and information services sector had a total of 4 events, making it the most active sector for mergers and acquisitions. Representative transactions include MoonPay acquiring North Capital, CoinMarketCap acquiring CoinGlass, Circle acquiring Tazapay, and S&P acquiring OpenZeppelin.In terms of investment institutions, Coinbase Ventures participated in 6 financings, making it the most active institution this month; a16z and Maven11 each participated in 3. Overall, in September, funds mainly flowed towards payments, prediction markets, trading and data infrastructure, CeFi, and RWA, among other directions.

Data: The net buying amount of listed companies increased by 30.4% in a single week, with Strategy increasing its holdings by 1,665 bitcoins in a single week

According to SoSoValue data, as of 8 AM Eastern Time on September 28, 2026, the total net purchase of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) for the week was $239 million, an increase of 30.4% compared to last week.Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) purchased 1,665 Bitcoins last week at a price of $85,681, spending approximately $143 million, bringing its total holdings to 847,666 Bitcoins.The Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase any Bitcoin last week, marking eleven consecutive weeks without a purchase.In addition, three other companies announced Bitcoin purchases or holdings last week. The French Bitcoin company Capital B announced on September 28 that it purchased 13 Bitcoins at a price of $85,693.40, bringing its total holdings to 3,538 Bitcoins; asset management company Strive announced on September 28 that it spent approximately $94.53 million last week to purchase 1,107 Bitcoins at a price of $85,396, bringing its total holdings to approximately 27,462 Bitcoins.As of the time of publication, the total amount of Bitcoin held by the listed companies worldwide (excluding mining companies) is 1,159,755 Bitcoins, an increase of 0.32% compared to last week, with a current market value of approximately $9.674 billion, accounting for 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating market value.

Bitget TradFi Chief Growth Officer Xie Jiayin issued an update on the platform's security incident, stating that the withdrawal time will be announced before noon tomorrow. The security team has identified the hacker's attack path and methods, and has grasped the details of how the attacker bypassed security measures, coming very close to tracing the source of the attack. The incident investigation by third-party security teams Mandiant and SlowMist is still ongoing, with a detailed report pending from the security team.On-chain tracking confirms that approximately $387.5 million has been transferred to the hacker's address, previously estimated at $351.6 million. This revision includes ZEC and TRX, and no other unauthorized transfers have been found. Xie Jiayin stated that the stolen funds at the platform level will be fully covered by the Bitget User Protection Fund, ensuring that user assets are not subject to any losses.Bitget has officially launched a fund recovery bounty program, offering a 5% bounty for voluntarily freezing the attacker’s funds and a 5% bounty for voluntarily recovering funds. The bounty also applies to assistance already provided. The platform has published the attacker's address, a real-time tracking dashboard, and a submission portal, with relevant information also available for submission through Bybit's Lazarus bounty platform.

The cryptocurrency trading platform Bitget announced on its official X account that on September 24, 2026, at 18:31 (UTC), its security system detected unauthorized transfers from a small number of hot wallets. The security team has immediately initiated an emergency response procedure and started a comprehensive investigation.Bitget stated that, based on current assessments, approximately $351.6 million in assets are affected. Cold wallets and the vast majority of assets on the platform remain secure and unaffected, and user funds are still protected. The incident falls within the coverage of the user protection fund, which currently holds over $464 million.Bitget mentioned that customer account balances remain accurate, and deposits and transactions continue to operate normally. As a precautionary measure, withdrawals have been temporarily suspended to allow the team to complete a thorough security review. The company has identified and flagged the relevant transfer addresses, formally contacted law enforcement agencies and on-chain security partners, and will restore withdrawals as soon as safety is confirmed, providing subsequent updates through official channels while refraining from speculating on the attack path during the investigation.
