hot_img Alibaba confirms the sale of Lingxi Interactive Entertainment to Xincheng Capital, with management remaining stable

According to a report by Blue Whale Technology, Alibaba and CITIC have officially reached a transaction agreement, in which Alibaba will transfer its shares in Lingxi Interactive Entertainment, and Xincheng Capital will become the new shareholder. Xincheng Capital supports the existing team to operate stably under the leadership of the management team, which will remain stable and continue to develop alongside the company.Lingxi Interactive Entertainment is a gaming brand under Alibaba, and its gaming business can be traced back to the integration of the Jiuyou channel business after the acquisition of UC in 2014. In 2017, Alibaba fully acquired Guangzhou Jianyue for approximately 1 billion yuan, which later became the predecessor of Lingxi Interactive Entertainment. The self-developed game "Three Kingdoms Strategy Edition," launched in 2019, became a leading hit in the SLG category. Since 2023, Lingxi has undergone multiple adjustments, and in March 2024, founder Zhan Zhonghui stepped down as CEO, with producer Zhou Bingshu of "Three Kingdoms Strategy Edition" taking over. The new shareholder, Xincheng Capital, is a private equity investment business under CITIC Capital, which has completed over 100 investments since 2002, managing a total of $10.5 billion in funds. Lingxi Interactive Entertainment CEO Zhou Bingshu expressed gratitude in an internal letter, stating that Alibaba "nurtured and grew Lingxi," and the new shareholder Xincheng Capital will "inject new momentum" into the company's development. The specific amount of the transaction has not yet been disclosed.

Stable update white paper: 82% of STABLE tokens locked until the end of 2029 will be released

Stable has released an updated white paper, whose core design concept is to rebuild blockchain infrastructure around stablecoins. Unlike traditional public chains that treat stablecoins as application layer assets, Stable uses USDT as a native Gas asset and primary settlement asset, allowing users to complete transactions without holding additional volatile tokens. At the same time, the network supports PYUSD issued by PayPal as a primary settlement asset. In terms of token economics, the total supply of STABLE is 10 billion tokens. Among them, approximately 1.8 billion tokens (18%) were in circulation at the time of token generation, including 10% for Genesis Distribution and 8% for the foundation's first-day unlock; the remaining 8.2 billion tokens (82%) will enter a Universal Lock pool. The white paper indicates that the 8.2 billion locked tokens will adopt a unified release mechanism, unlocking gradually in 7 phases:Phase 1: 5% (410 million tokens) released on December 8, 2027Phase 2: 5% (410 million tokens) released on March 8, 2028Phase 3: 10% (820 million tokens) released on June 8, 2028Phase 4: 15% (1.23 billion tokens) released on September 8, 2028Phase 5: 15% (1.23 billion tokens) released on December 8, 2028Phase 6: 20% (1.64 billion tokens) released on March 8, 2029Phase 7: 30% (2.46 billion tokens) released on June 8, 2029All locked tokens will be unlocked through daily linear release, expected to be fully in circulation by December 8, 2029, at the latest. Additionally, the white paper sets a price protection mechanism; if the volume-weighted average price of the token is below $0.025 in the 30 days prior to the specified release date, the relevant unlocking phase may be postponed by up to 9 months.

first_img MSCI's new proposal may exclude Strategy and Metaplanet from the global investable index

According to CoinDesk, the index provider MSCI has launched a new round of consultations, proposing to exclude so-called "non-operating companies" from its Global Investable Market Indexes. This classification will no longer use the proportion of crypto assets as the sole threshold but will adopt a two-step screening process: first, it will check whether operating assets exceed 50% of total assets; those that do not pass will then be assessed based on five financial ratios: operating asset intensity, expense intensity, cash flow, fair value intensity, and capital dependence. If at least four of these do not meet the standards, they will not qualify for inclusion. If the current data is applied to the MSCI ACWI IMI Index, Bitcoin-holding companies Strategy (MSTR), Metaplanet (3350), and uranium holder Yellow Cake will be excluded. Strategy has cumulatively held approximately 840,400 BTC since 2020, while Metaplanet holds about 43,000 BTC. MSCI's description of "non-operating companies" refers to businesses that create value by accumulating and holding non-operating assets, have limited operating cash flow, and rely on external financing for expansion. The consultation for collecting opinions will end on September 30, with results expected to be announced around October 16; even if approved, the related adjustments will not take effect until the index review in November 2026 at the earliest. Previously, a consultation in October 2025 regarding "digital asset treasury" companies, which set a standard of 50% for crypto asset proportion, had caused market fluctuations and industry opposition, ultimately being postponed.

The reward range for Gate Card points has been expanded, allowing card usage to unlock gold stablecoins and popular tokenized stock assets

According to official news, Gate will upgrade the Gate Card points reward program on August 14, 2026. After the upgrade, the assets that can be redeemed with Gate Card points will expand from primarily supporting USDT and GT to include USDT, GT, BTC, ETH, GUSD, as well as tokenized stock assets such as NVDAG, AAPLG, GOOGLG, SPCXG, TSLAG, MUG, SNDKG, and SKHYG, corresponding to Nvidia, Apple, Google, SpaceX, Tesla, Micron Technology, SanDisk, and SK Hynix. The newly added tokenized stock assets cover several popular fields such as AI, semiconductors, and consumer technology. After earning points through eligible daily spending, users can redeem mainstream crypto assets like BTC and ETH according to their preferences, or they can redeem corresponding tokenized stock assets like Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX. In addition, Gate Card points will also support the redemption of gold-backed stablecoins (XAUT), effectively enriching users' options for point redemption. The redemption ratio for Gate Card points remains at 100 points = 1 USDT equivalent asset, and points are permanently valid, with other core rules unchanged. Users can still earn cashback points through eligible Gate Card spending, with the cashback ratio continuing to be calculated based on the user's T0--T5 / VIP level. This upgrade will not affect the existing point acquisition mechanism but will provide users with more asset choices at the redemption end, expanding the application scenarios for Gate Card points. By upgrading the points reward program, Gate Card will further connect payment consumption with asset accumulation, offering users richer rights options and a more flexible asset management experience.
