ChainCatcher news, HTX Ventures head Alec Goh was invited to attend GM Vietnam 2025 - Vietnam Blockchain Week yesterday, where he shared his profound insights on the development of stablecoins at the roundtable forum themed "Stablecoin - The Most Viable Use Case for Crypto Adoption."Alec pointed out that the market capitalization of stablecoins has exceeded $250 billion, growing by 60% this year, showing a strong upward momentum. With clear regulations in countries like the United States and the active participation of traditional institutions, stablecoins are evolving from crypto-native tools into global financial infrastructure, currently in the early stages of mainstream integration. He added that stablecoins are becoming the foundation for value settlement and liquidity in digital financial infrastructure in key scenarios such as on-chain credit markets, RWA, and cross-border trade.When discussing the future development path of DeFi, Alec believes that with the continuous maturation of solutions like DID, compliance layers, and reserve proof mechanisms, fully compliant DeFi will become possible.He emphasized, "The future is not a binary opposition of 'centralization vs decentralization,' but rather a combination of 'compliance and composability.' Legal frameworks and on-chain technology will evolve together, ensuring global scalability while retaining the core principles of crypto. Regardless of whether the system is centralized or decentralized, the most important thing is to meet user needs. If decentralized trading continues to provide better value, the market will naturally tilt towards it."

ChainCatcher message, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on social media that, in my opinion, synchronous atomic composability is overrated.For example, think about some specific cross-L2 things you are doing or envisioning that could be more seamless.For me, the two most important things are:I have coins on Optimism, and I want to pay Bob, but Bob is only on Arbitrum.I have coins on Taiko, and I want to use a dapp on Polygon, so I need to send to Polygon to use that dapp.These are not fancy problems that can be solved just by addressing the synchronization issue. These user experience issues can be resolved in the following ways:(i) Widely adopt ERC-3770, making the chain part of the address, thus making the address once again a self-contained "how you pay me" identifier;(ii) Cross-L2 exchange protocols (like ERC-7683), allowing for programmatic cross-chain sending without getting tangled up in which specific intermediaries to trust and which APIs to connect;(iii) Wallet integration, so that you can simply put the recipient's ERC-3770 address into a text box to complete the cross-chain sending, just like you do for a regular send now.

Glacier has received support from multiple grants including Arweave ecosystem PermaDao, Stanford Boundless Hackathon, Aptos Grant Dao, and Foresight X Accelerator.It is reported that Glacier aims to build a composable, modular, and scalable Layer 2 data-driven network for large-scale decentralized applications and promote decentralized applications (Dapps) to create trustless data primitive use cases based on decentralized databases (DDB). By combining L2 Rollup solutions, Glacier has constructed a programmable and composable multi-chain data network, allowing developers to manage data using NoSQL GlacierDB in Arweave, Filecoin, and BNB Greenfield.

ChainCatcher news, the Ethereum staking protocol Swell Network will update the protocol's features on the Ethereum mainnet in April, including incentivized liquid staking token Swell Ether (swETH), achieving full composability, interchangeable liquidity, a vetted node operator set, and purpose-built vault strategies. Before this, staking deposits will continue to be on hold.It is reported that existing Swell stakers do not need to take any action and will seamlessly migrate to the new version.
