Roam fully upgrades the user incentive system: the super staking pool and the new points rules are launched simultaneously

Roam officially launches the Super Staking Pool and a new points system, bringing a more transparent, efficient, and high-yield incentive model for mining machine users and node contributors. At the same time, the Roam App releases version 2.0 with a comprehensive upgrade. This series of updates not only enhances user participation rewards but also lays a solid foundation for the sustainable expansion of Roam's global open wireless network.
Super Staking Pool Launch: Enhanced Mining Machine Staking Rewards
The Super Staking Pool opens on September 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM (Beijing Time), allowing mining machine users to participate through the Roam App. The Super Staking Pool supports participation from Rainier MAX60, Baker MAX30, and Genesis mining machines, with a staking period of 180 days. The Super Staking Pool supports automatic reinvestment of earnings; each month, the system will settle the user's principal and staking earnings from the previous month and automatically reinvest them into the next month, requiring no user action, helping users maximize their earnings.
(Currently, the two router mining machines for sale on the Roam official website: Rainier MAX60 and Baker MAX30, purchase link: Roam Official Website)
The four main features of the Super Staking Pool:
One-time opportunity, limited participation: Each mining machine / Genesis can only stake once and must be completed within the specified period.
Two types of pools, matching seats: Rainier MAX60 → Rainier Pool; Baker MAX30 → Baker Pool; Genesis → Rainier Pool.
Locked for six months, unlocked upon expiration: Each staking pool has a staking period of 180 days and can only be withdrawn upon expiration.
Higher limits and earnings: Dynamic additional limits will be issued monthly based on the number of stakes, helping maximize earnings.
Detailed rules:
Participation eligibility: Rainier MAX60, Baker MAX30 online mining machines, and Genesis. Each device can only stake once.
Staking pool setup: Rainier MAX60 Pool and Baker MAX30 Pool; Genesis can only enter the Rainier Pool.
Time rules: The first round of staking opens on September 5, 2025. Devices registered before September 5, 2025, must complete staking by 0:00 (UTC) on October 5, 2025; devices registered after September 5, 2025, must complete staking from the date of registration until 0:00 (UTC) on November 4, 2025.
Limits and additions: Initial limit for Rainier Pool is 500 ROAM per unit, and for Baker Pool is 200 ROAM per unit. Unused limits from the first staking can be added on the 5th of each subsequent month. The system supports automatic reinvestment; during the staking period, the 5th of each month is the settlement day, where the system will settle the earnings from the previous month and reinvest the principal + last month's interest into the new month's stake. After staking begins, from the second settlement day, the system will issue dynamic additional limits monthly based on the staking amount.
How to participate:
(Taking the latest version of the Roam App as an example)
Click the central icon in the bottom navigation bar to enter "Roam Features," then click "Earn."
Select "Roam Staking Pool."
Enter "Super Staking Pool."
Choose the staking pool corresponding to your device.
Enter the staking amount and click "Start Staking."
Click "OK" to complete the staking.
(To add more, return to the same pool and repeat the operation.)
Users can view their staking amount and accumulated earnings in "My Stakes."
The Super Staking Pool ensures stable network operation and, through the "monthly dynamic increase in limits + automatic reinvestment" mechanism, shifts the earnings model of mining machine users from short-term fluctuations to long-term stability, further promoting the large-scale construction of the global open wireless network. Mining machine users transition from being mere "device holders" to true "network partners," safeguarding their own earnings while jointly advancing the construction of the next generation of decentralized network infrastructure.
New Points System: High-Frequency Interaction + Continuous Earnings
Roam also launches a new points system, enhancing the incentive model of "high-frequency interaction + continuous earnings," significantly improving user reward levels. Since its launch, Roam has issued over 4.5 billion points, with more than 8 million points already burned, making Roam Points a highly valued reward asset among users. To maintain a fair and sustainable exchange ratio between Roam Points and $ROAM, and to ensure active users receive reasonable returns based on their contributions, Roam officially implemented a new points mechanism on August 28, 2025 (PDT). This update also aims to further enhance user engagement and support the long-term growth of the network.

The adjustments to points rewards are as follows:
New WiFi (Add WiFi)
Community WiFi (Public + Private): Rewards increased from 100 points to 200 points.
Successfully adding immediately grants 100 points.
Additional 100 points: Requires 5 different blue badge users to check in at that node, with each check-in rewarding the node holder 20 points.
OpenRoaming nodes: Rewards increased from 300 points to 400 points.
Successfully adding immediately grants 300 points.
Additional 100 points: Same rule as above, all can be obtained if 5 different blue badge users complete check-ins.
First activation of Rainier MAX60 mining machine (Router Activation): Rewards increased from 3000 points to 6000 points (including devices purchased through the Loan Program).
Daily Check-In
Rewards increased from 10 points per time to 15 points per time, with no limit on the number of times.
WiFi Check-In Reward
Rewards increased from 5 points per time to 8 points per time.
Limit: Roam Rainier MAX60 can earn a maximum of 240 points daily; Roam Baker MAX30 can earn a maximum of 120 points daily; OpenRoaming and community nodes can earn a maximum of 80 points daily.
Share WiFi Owner Bonus
Settled daily based on WiFi health status:
High Private WiFi and OpenRoaming WiFi: Reduced from 12 points to 4 points per day.
Medium Private WiFi and OpenRoaming WiFi: Reduced from 6 points to 2 points per day.
With this system upgrade, users' rewards for adding nodes, daily check-ins, connection rewards, etc., have significantly increased, allowing for faster accumulation of Roam Points and the ability to burn them for $ROAM tokens, thereby offsetting node construction and network operation costs, and even achieving profitability. Roam Points have already been utilized in cross-project activities such as Bitbang, Paparun, Mojo GoGo, and will further expand into CDN, VPN, and cloud storage applications, providing users with a richer network experience.

New Points System Lays the Foundation for Points on the Blockchain
This points system upgrade not only enhances user rewards but is also a strategic move for the long-term development of the Roam network. Its core objectives are threefold: first, to lay the groundwork for future points on the blockchain through points deflation and value anchoring, giving them stronger asset properties; second, to rebalance the uneven distribution of early rules, making the incentive system more aligned with the current network scale and ecological needs; third, to direct more rewards towards sustainable construction and real services, ensuring that nodes providing coverage and verification receive more reasonable returns. Through this series of optimizations, Roam not only creates more direct and sustainable incentives for users but also injects long-term momentum into the healthy growth of the global open wireless network.
Roam forms a "dual deflation model of points and tokens" through burning and reverse burning: all points are permanently destroyed, and 97% of tokens are permanently destroyed, fundamentally reducing circulation and promoting scarcity and value enhancement. According to Solscan data, nearly 4 million $ROAM have been permanently destroyed, showing high user participation enthusiasm. Unlike traditional mining coins that rely on mechanical halving to achieve deflation, Roam links points with tokens and adjusts the mining mechanism while continuously expanding WiFi and eSIM application scenarios, consistently enhancing network activity and token demand, converting potential supply into long-term scarcity advantages. With the gradual launch of multiple functions and incentive mechanisms, the recent price trend of $ROAM shows strong momentum, with a 30-day increase of over 60%.
On this basis, Roam always adheres to a "user-centered" approach, continuously creating diverse earning opportunities for users and consolidating long-term value through technological advantages. As of now, Roam has nearly 6 million self-built WiFi nodes, over 3 million users, and has contributed more than 500 million network verification actions. When selected for the Messari DePIN annual report in January this year, Roam had only 1 million nodes, but in just a few months, it achieved nearly sixfold growth, fully demonstrating the community's high activity and strong network effects.
