DeepSeek's annual revenue has doubled to 1 billion USD in a few months, planning to complete a financing of 50 billion RMB by the end of October

According to a report by The Information cited by Dongcha, two individuals with direct knowledge stated that the artificial intelligence company DeepSeek has an annual revenue of approximately $1 billion, up from less than $500 million a few months ago. The revenue primarily comes from model APIs, and the free chat application currently has no advertising or subscription revenue. The report indicated that part of the revenue growth is due to price increases, with some API prices raised by about 2.3 to 4.5 times. Liang Wenfeng recently told investors that the number of customers did not decline after the price increase, and demand remains strong. Previously disclosed financial data showed that the gross margin for the API business in the first seven months of this year was 82.9%.DeepSeek's second round of financing plans to raise approximately 50 billion yuan, with a valuation of about 500 billion. The company hopes to complete this by the end of October and is also preparing for an IPO on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's Sci-Tech Innovation Board. Liang Wenfeng stated that over 70% of the computing power is used for training new models, leaving less than 30% for inference; the company is trying to run more small models directly on gaming graphics cards, reserving high-end chips for training.

SharpLink CEO: AI agents will reconstruct the financial system, potentially creating $40 trillion in value annually by 2035

SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom stated that as AI agents integrate with stablecoins, tokenization of real-world assets, and DeFi, the global financial services industry will face a revenue redistribution of over $1 trillion annually by 2030, potentially reaching $4 trillion by 2035.Chalom indicated that AI agents will become the automation layer of the new financial system, capable of continuously managing investors' financial activities, including finding lower banking, trading, and borrowing costs, optimizing savings returns, constructing portfolios, dynamic rebalancing, and managing loans and credit card debt. He anticipates that by 2030, AI agents could save investors about $350 billion annually by reducing fees, with this figure increasing to $1.4 trillion by 2035, equivalent to eliminating nearly a quarter of the costs in the global financial industry.Stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and DeFi will provide AI agents with 24/7 programmable financial infrastructure, enabling agents to view asset ownership, prices, collateral requirements, and lending opportunities within the same blockchain environment, and autonomously complete asset transfers, collateralization, lending, and settlement. He also mentioned that financial institutions including Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, PayPal, Circle, Tether, Robinhood, Coinbase, Binance, as well as JPMorgan, Citigroup, and BlackRock are competing for the infrastructure and user entry points of the AI agent financial ecosystem. Whoever controls the infrastructure and agents may capture the value generated when agents trade on behalf of clients.Additionally, Chalom pointed out that the infrastructure such as the x402 machine-to-machine stablecoin payment standard launched by Coinbase and Ethereum's ERC-8004 agent identity protocol is forming a new open agent economy. More than 10,000 AI agents have completed registration within 10 weeks of the ERC-8004 going live.

Cryptocurrency asset company Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced last week that it has increased its holdings by 27,180 ETH, bringing its total ETH holdings to over 5.95 million, valued at approximately $1.54 billion, accounting for about 4.9% of the circulating supply of Ethereum. Including cash and other cryptocurrency assets, the company's total holdings amount to approximately $15.8 billion.Bitmine stated that currently over 5.06 million ETH are staked, and based on the current yield, it is expected to generate approximately $334 million in staking income annually, with about 85% of its ETH holdings used for staking. In comparison, the staking ratio for Grayscale Ethereum Staked ETF (ETHE) is 84.6%. Since BTC does not generate native staking income, this strategy has advantages over treasury companies holding Bitcoin. On Monday, Bitmine's stock price remained flat, around $25, having risen nearly 38% over the past month.Meanwhile, Michael Saylor's Strategy has not purchased Bitcoin for the second consecutive week, instead opting to repurchase its STRC preferred shares. Between September 8 and 13, Strategy spent $139.3 million to repurchase approximately 1.42 million shares of STRC, following a previous week where it repurchased $176.3 million worth of STRC. As of September 13, Strategy's Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 845,050 coins.
