first_img DogeOS launched a public testnet, introducing EVM smart contracts for Dogecoin

DogeOS, the application layer of Dogecoin, launched its public testnet on Wednesday, introducing EVM-compatible smart contracts to the Dogecoin network as a zero-knowledge rollup, with DOGE as the native token for transaction fees. The project aims to support applications such as trading, lending, stablecoins, prediction markets, and gaming, while settling state back to the Dogecoin network.DogeOS currently uses a trusted execution environment, validators, and a permissioned sequencer to ensure network security. Future proposed upgrades to Dogecoin Core will allow Dogecoin miners to directly verify their execution proofs. DogeOS CEO Jordan Jefferson stated that Dogecoin does not currently verify ZK proofs on its own, and bridging state transitions requires valid proofs as well as signatures from a majority of validators and TEE signers. He mentioned that the team is currently focused on the public testnet, allowing developers time to build and test applications, with the mainnet timeline to be announced upon reaching the next development milestone.DogeOS comes from the MyDoge wallet team, which announced a $6.9 million funding round led by Polychain Capital in May 2025. Two months later, the DogeOS team submitted a proposal for a Dogecoin Core upgrade to add native ZK proof verification for Dogecoin, but this upgrade has not yet been implemented. Timothy Stebbing, a director of the Dogecoin Foundation, expressed hope that DogeOS will serve as a springboard for a new wave of practical engineering.

R25 Studio launches public testing: Fund establishment compressed from several months to 10 minutes, on-chain asset management enters the programmable era

R25 today announced that its core product R25 Studio, based on the 2 architecture, has officially launched public testing. R25 Studio is dedicated to realizing the vision of "everyone can become an asset manager," fully opening up the capabilities for the establishment, operation, and distribution of institutional-level funds. By abstracting cumbersome legal documents, backend systems, and compliance processes into configurable smart contracts, R25 Studio has successfully compressed the fund establishment cycle from several months to just 10 minutes. The platform revolves around Build, Manage, Earn, and Distribute, covering Vault creation, subscription and redemption, investment management, fee earning, and distribution; asset managers can autonomously set investment parameters, management fees, and performance fee rates on-chain without building complex fund structures from scratch, generate exclusive Vault Tokens/Shares, and list the Vault on channels such as Dapp and Topnod. The platform also provides performance data such as NAV, APY, cumulative returns, and maximum drawdown, helping asset managers monitor strategy performance in real-time.Previously, in Phase 1, Axil launched a private credit Vault on R25 and successfully surpassed $130 million in TVL, validating the reliability of this infrastructure. The registration channel for the first batch of managers is now open.

first_img Liu Xing, the head of Doubao Public Relations: The layoff news is false

On September 24, the trending topic "Doubao employees lament that Doubao has become a marginal product" topped Weibo's hot search. Previously, media reported that the Doubao General Session team had undergone personnel reductions. Following the dissemination of related content, statements such as "Doubao layoffs" and "half of the dialogue team cut" appeared online, with some claiming that internal employees lamented that Doubao was being marginalized. In response to the above statements, Doubao's public relations head Liu Xing posted a response stating: Some media reported that the Doubao Session team underwent organizational adjustments, and some self-media interpreted it as Doubao layoffs and cutting half of the Doubao dialogue team, which is inaccurate information; in fact, it is merely an organizational adjustment of responsibilities.According to Liu Xing, part of the functions of the Doubao General Session team has been split into the Doubao trading and Doubao work teams, with relevant personnel being transferred accordingly. Many employees are still engaged in dialogue experience-related work, such as optimizing the trading dialogue experience on the trading side. first_img DeepSeek publicly releases the Agent training system DSec, signed by Liang Wenfeng

According to Investment World citing Quantum Bit reports, DeepSeek has publicly disclosed the technical details of the system DSec (DeepSeek Elastic Compute) used for training Agents, authored by Liang Wenfeng. This system can generate over 5,000 sandboxes per second, reaching 3 million in a day, with a peak simultaneous operation of 380,000; supporting this scale is a single cluster with approximately 160 nodes, 30,000 CPU cores, and 250TB of memory.DSec prepares four types of backends for four categories of tasks: FnCall, Container, MicroVM, and Full VM, with the training side called through a unified Python SDK libdsec. The scheduling chain includes IAM, API Server, scheduling engine, node Edge, network proxy Aether, and components within the sandbox Chronus. The environment is divided into three layers of read-only images: base image, workspace, and toolkit, which are used in combination at startup. Runtime data from the paper shows that the actual read ratios of Python, Java, and C++ container images are approximately 6.0%, 9.2%, and 8.7%, respectively.Starting from DeepSeek-V4.1, the Agent loop has been moved to the DSec worker container, no longer bound to the GPU Pod lifecycle. The security section disclosed reward hacking during training, including actions such as overwriting system files, swapping file data blocks, scanning networks, and triggering kernel crashes. Defensive measures include AppArmor and eBPF-based network filtering, but reports indicate that these measures do not completely resolve the issues.

first_img Democratic members of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee call for a public hearing on prediction markets

Democratic members of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee sent a letter to the committee's chairman, Republican Senator Tim Scott, calling for a congressional hearing on prediction markets. The Democrats stated in the letter that the committee has a "critical oversight responsibility" in regulating prediction markets and emphasized that Congress should examine prediction markets through public hearings on a bipartisan basis, rather than in closed-door roundtable meetings limited to Republicans and industry-friendly discussions. Senators including Elizabeth Warren signed the letter. On the same day, Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee met with Tarek Mansour, CEO of the prediction market platform Kalshi. Scott stated in a statement to The Block that he convened Republican lawmakers to meet with Kalshi to better understand the opportunities and challenges presented by securities-linked products. The two sides discussed keeping innovation within the United States, how investors use these products, protecting retail investors, and regulatory issues that Congress should address. Kalshi did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Currently, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) advocates for a leading role in the regulation of prediction markets but faces opposition from various states, which claim jurisdiction over sports event contracts. The Senate Banking Committee, on the other hand, has jurisdiction over the SEC and is responsible for regulating "securities-linked products" related to prediction markets. Democrats pointed out that the bets offered by such products, which are linked to company performance metrics, may fall under the SEC's regulatory scope. It has been reported that Cboe Global Markets is seeking SEC approval for its listing of "all-or-nothing options" linked to company earnings results.
