Pump.fun adjusts the Callout reward mechanism: high-frequency releases lead to diminishing marginal returns, with rewards placing greater emphasis on content quality

Alon, co-founder of Pump.fun, stated that two months after the launch of the platform's $15 million Callout reward program, it was found that the initial mechanism inadvertently incentivized undesirable behavior, leading to a flood of low-quality content and weakening users' willingness to continuously create high-quality content.Pump.fun subsequently adjusted the reward algorithm to place greater emphasis on content quality rather than the quantity of posts. According to the new mechanism, the more Callouts a user posts each day, the lower the marginal returns from the new content. Alon mentioned that the reward mechanism is still undergoing iterations, but there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure that a large number of users can sustainably produce high-quality content over the long term.He also stated that the rewards currently cover both top accounts and accounts with fewer than 10 followers, with no favoritism or preferential treatment. Alon suggested that users focus on recommending quality tokens, building trader trust through content, and earning rewards based on the trading volume generated by their Callouts. He emphasized that simply flooding the platform with Callouts or dumping tokens to followers will not yield sustainable returns.

first_img Energy developer FSE signed a memorandum with Loaf to plan a blockchain project for over 500 million dollars in photovoltaic energy

Energy developer Fusion Source Energy (FSE) and its partners have signed a memorandum of understanding with the on-chain physical asset platform Loaf to promote the issuance of over $500 million in Australian photovoltaic and battery projects on-chain, covering more than 1,000 hectares, led by the over 200 megawatt Project Amber. According to the memorandum, the funds raised are expected to accelerate project development and expand Amber's battery capacity.Amber is a utility-scale photovoltaic park that will deploy over 200 megawatts of photovoltaic and multi-hour battery storage on-site, with an expected annual power generation sufficient to meet the electricity needs of over 70,000 households, or equivalent to the electricity demand of a 50 megawatt data center. The project pipeline also includes battery storage assets below 5 megawatts and distributed energy resources, which are modular assets closer to the electricity end, capable of forming diversified energy revenue across multiple sites in Australia.FSE CEO Weiwei Shi stated that Amber is one of the largest hybrid on-site projects in the Southern Hemisphere, which have traditionally only been open to a few institutional investors. Loaf can expand the investor base without adding extra friction and provide continuous, transparent pricing for the assets.Loaf stated that Project Amber will become a key asset in its ecosystem. As the project matures and begins trading, users will be able to go long or short and use these assets within the on-chain financial ecosystem. Loaf will participate in the on-chain trading and issuance of physical assets, allowing users to access the economic upside and returns of related infrastructure assets.

first_img In September, the number of job postings in the cryptocurrency industry increased to 1,241, while the number of applications decreased to less than 20,000

According to CoinDesk, data from the cryptocurrency recruitment platform CryptoJobsList shows that the number of job postings by cryptocurrency companies in September increased from 382 in July to 1,241, continuing to rise from 886 in August, and surpassing the most active month earlier this year, January, which had 573 postings. The number of companies posting jobs in September rose to 125, up from 107 in July, and briefly dropped to 77 in August. The platform believes that the recovery in hiring in September aligns with the seasonal pattern of business returning to normal after the summer off-season in the Northern Hemisphere, but the data indicates that seasonality is not the only reason: the number of job postings in August had already doubled compared to July, and there was no similar surge from August to September in 2025; the most active month that year, October, had only 373 postings, with data from July to September remaining basically flat.In contrast to the increase in job postings, the number of applications fell from 25,700 in July to 24,631 in August, and further declined to less than 20,000 in September. CryptoJobsList interprets this divergence as a tightening competition for professional talent. Over the past three months, finance has been the largest recruitment category, followed by engineering and trading, with stablecoins, AI, security, and compliance also making the top ten; the most requested blockchain skills are Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.

first_img SEC enters funding interruption, review of new cryptocurrency ETFs suspended

According to HOGE Wire, the U.S. federal fiscal year will begin on October 1, 2026, without a budget, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will enter a funding interruption status, halting the review of new cryptocurrency ETFs. Registration statements cannot be declared effective, and opinion letters will no longer be issued. Existing products are unaffected, and BlackRock's IBIT, Fidelity's FBTC, and Grayscale-related products can still be traded and continue to process subscriptions and redemptions.Cryptocurrency ETFs need to complete both the 19b-4 submitted to the exchange and the S-1 or N-1A submitted by the issuer; both paths are paused during the funding interruption. On September 17, 2025, the SEC approved general listing standards for commodity trust shares, allowing eligible products to submit 19b-4 without needing to do so individually, reducing the review time from about 240 days to approximately 75 days; leveraged, inverse, actively managed, lending, and staking products are not included in this template. The article states that as October approaches, there are over 90 pending applications, with some deadlines at the beginning of the month. Nate Geraci told Decrypt that what the industry refers to as ETF Cryptober may be temporarily shelved, which is a delay rather than a rejection. The article also states that on March 17, 2026, the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission jointly clarified that agreement staking does not constitute a securities offering or sale. BlackRock's Ethereum product ETHB is listed on Nasdaq with a fee of 0.25% and will distribute 82% of staking rewards to investors.

first_img Grayscale Research Director: Generation Z starts investing at an average age of 19

Grayscale Research Director Zach Pandl published an article on September 28, 2026, in the company's column The Stack. The article states that among American investors, Generation Z starts investing at an average age of 19, Millennials at 25, Generation X at 32, and Baby Boomers at 35. Based on a retirement age of 65, Generation Z has an investment horizon of 46 years, which is over 50% longer than the 30-year horizon when Baby Boomers started investing.Zach Pandl: Starting to invest earlier not only benefits from compound interest but also expands the capacity to take on risk. When young, labor capital accounts for a larger proportion of wealth, and a longer horizon means more time to recover from fluctuations, as well as more future income available for continued saving and investing, thereby expanding the lifetime risk budget. He believes that the returns on digital assets are both volatile and potentially asymmetric, making them more suitable for longer and more flexible horizons.Zach Pandl also mentioned that for early investors, the cost of recent volatility may be less than the opportunity cost of missing out on long-term upside. With decades available for rebalancing, adding funds, and compounding across cycles, early starters may allocate a higher proportion to digital assets while keeping their lifetime risk balanced. Starting to invest earlier gives investors more time to absorb fluctuations, potentially enhancing the utility of digital assets in long-term portfolios.

first_img Coinbase obtains ADGM license to build a tokenized securities hub

The cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase has obtained a Financial Services License (FSP) issued by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This license allows it to arrange investment transactions and provide custody for tokenized securities. Coinbase describes this license as the regulatory foundation for its international tokenization hub and the first of its two major non-U.S. institutional businesses established in the UAE, the other being its derivatives business in Dubai.According to the scope of the license, the FSP covers the arrangement and custody of tokenized stocks fully backed by underlying shares. Holders of digital securities can gain economic exposure such as dividends, while voting rights and redemption rights are subject to the conditions outlined in each prospectus. Coinbase states that investors only need a crypto wallet to trade, and secondary transfers do not require a brokerage account or banking relationship, but redeeming profits for fiat currency still requires a bank or brokerage account.Brett Tejpaul, Co-President of Coinbase Institutional: Currently, there is no major financial center that has established a framework that simultaneously regards tokenized stocks as securities, blockchain-native tokens, and composable DeFi assets. Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer of ADGM, stated that the Coinbase hub reflects the center's progressive, robust, and internationally aligned regulatory framework. The FSRA issued its first virtual asset rules in 2018, which include protective measures such as sanctions screening and the ability to freeze or seize assets at the wallet level. ADGM applies English common law, and the FSRA's authority differs from that of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority; registered entities do not automatically obtain a passport in other Gulf Cooperation Council jurisdictions.

first_img Tesla delivered 486,500 vehicles in the third quarter, exceeding market expectations

According to a report by Financial Associated Press, Tesla's official website released data on October 2, showing that third-quarter deliveries reached 486,532 vehicles, exceeding analysts' average expectation of 463,761 vehicles; during the same period, production was 464,391 vehicles, and energy products deployed amounted to 13.7 gigawatt-hours. This delivery volume is lower than the 497,099 vehicles delivered in the same period last year, which was a record at the time, primarily because American consumers concentrated their purchases before the federal electric vehicle purchase incentives were canceled.Deliveries of Model 3 and Model Y in the third quarter totaled 478,237 vehicles, accounting for approximately 98.3% of the total deliveries for the quarter. Financial Associated Press reported that Tesla has ceased production of the higher-priced Model S and Model X, leaving only Model Y, Model 3, and Cybertruck available for consumer sales, and mentioned the revamped Roadster, which has begun production of a version without a steering wheel and pedals, as well as the sale of the Semi all-electric heavy truck.StoneX analyst Mickey Legg stated that the deliveries were better than expected, which could provide upside potential for automotive business forecasts, but there are still questions regarding the energy business. Financial Associated Press noted that Musk is pushing the company to shift towards artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and humanoid robots, with plans to invest over $25 billion this year to expand factories and establish a Robotaxi business. Regulatory documents this week showed that the company has secured $30 billion in new loans and credit lines. Tesla's stock price rose nearly 6% during the day.
